Gallery Warming was a ceremonial event to welcome Pari, a new artist-run community space in Western Sydney. The event brought together community leaders alongside local contemporary artists in an afternoon of ceremonies and performances to welcome, ask permission, give thanks and bring fortune.

Gallery Warming was presented in Pari’s newly acquired space, prior to the renovations which turned the former café into a gallery. Performances occurred in and around the café fittings; the streets and old menu formed the backdrop. The event paid homage to the space's history, and centred art and cultural practices that have existed in the area prior to the gallery's formation.

The project received a Museums & Galleries NSW Imagine Award 2020.
